OVERVIEW
Guardianship in Pennsylvania

Guardianship is a legal way to protect someone who can no longer make or communicate their own decisions, by giving a trusted person the authority to act for them. It is also the most significant step the law allows, so it is worth understanding your choices before taking it. Often there are gentler alternatives, and part of my job is to help you find the right fit rather than the heaviest one.

Most families come to me in one of two situations. Choose the one that sounds like yours, and we will go from there.
